IT Biz | Greenest to Launch 'ConnectedFabric', a Digital Fabric Brokerage Platform

2024-08-05

Greenest (CEO Ha-eun Choi) announced on the 5th that it is currently developing ConnectedFabric, a new digital platform designed to streamline the brokerage of fabric materials.

.

The platform was initiated by CEO Ha-eun Choi, who has worked in the fashion industry for the past seven years. She identified a need to improve Korea’s outdated domestic fabric market, which remains largely offline and dominated by large-scale companies.

.

Smaller fabric sellers, in particular, lack access to effective promotional and export tools. Many rely on passive sales strategies, waiting for buyers to visit. ConnectedFabric aims to resolve this by enabling both domestic and international users to easily access fabric information and purchase materials efficiently through an online platform.

.

With ConnectedFabric, transactions traditionally done only offline can now be conducted online, with easier comparison and filtering functions. Users can select only the fabrics they need using advanced material filters, and a community feature allows for seamless information sharing among users.

.

For fabric sellers, the platform makes it easy to list a wide range of products and communicate with a broader base of potential buyers. Features like automatic translation and a simple email-based registration system will make it convenient for overseas companies to list and sell their fabrics on the platform. These additional functions are currently in development.

.

CEO Ha-eun Choi explained, “We’re building this platform with integrated big data technology. The system can match buyers with suitable fabrics based on accumulated data, making transactions far more efficient. Filtering by fabric type, color, pattern, and more will be available, and we’re building a recommendation system to suggest materials tailored to each buyer’s needs.”

.

She added, “Currently, most fabric transactions in Korea take place offline and are heavily skewed toward large companies, making it difficult for smaller players to find what they need. We developed ConnectedFabric to solve this problem. We aim to officially launch the platform in November and will continue enhancing its features to provide the most convenient service possible. We hope for your continued interest and support.”
